Clean energy commitments from private industry, governmental agencies and municipal jurisdictions represent the best means by which to scale the environmental and sustainable fiscal efficiency of renewable energy. With the adaptation of clean energy alternatives in industry and government, a large portion of the greenhouse emissions from fossil fuels will be greatly mitigated and over time, eliminated.

In addition to the environmental benefits, renewable energy allows our country to diversify its energy supply and greatly reduce our dependency on imported fuels. This financial benefit is further supplemented by the boost to the economy through additional job creation in clean energy manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. To this end, CEI facilitates relationships among industry and government alongside HBCUs as critical players in a national effort to increase energy deployment.
